It was sad to see the bunting come down but it reminded us of the jolly time we had over the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend at the beginning of June. Thanks to all the people who crocheted flags, baked cakes and scones and filled sandwiches.  

On the same weekend, Christians also remembered Pentecost which celebrates God’s Holy Spirit coming to the first followers of Jesus. Also known as the helper or counsellor, the Holy Spirit is still a gift to us.
